To explain the seemingly curious "Introducing 'Christopher Columbus' (Louis Prima)" credit on the labels:
"...When Benny Goodman arranger [a401548, who often worked with Goodman’s primary arranger, the brilliant [a307323, took the core of the swingin' work by Italian-American bandleader [a36865, 'Sing, Sing, Sing (With a Swing)' and tried to stretch it out beyond the usual three minutes (it ended up requiring both sides of a 12" 78-rpm disc at over eight minutes), he incorporated, or 'introduced' 'Christopher Columbus (A Rhythm Cocktail),' recently written by [a306411 from Henderson's band, and successfully recorded by Thomas [a253482. The end result, which features 'Christopher Columbus' played in a minor key after the main chorus, remains a popular hit eight decades later...'
